Network Operations & Research Disclosure
General Research operates AS13362 for hosting, computational biology, email, transit, peering, network research, CDN services, security scanning, and internet measurement activities.
Our infrastructure is used to conduct legitimate, responsible internet research including longitudinal DNS records, port scanning, banner grabbing, and network mapping.
General Research publishes a dyanmic Geo IP feed in accordance with RFC 8805.
We announce only prefixes covered by valid RPKI ROAs. All customer routes must be IRR registered and RPKI valid.
Export policy: Only announce our own prefixes and customers’. Import policy: Reject RPKI invalid, reject IPv6 > /48.
Anycast: 2602:f4f0:0::/48 (global) More specific geographic /48s deployed regionally only.
No default route. No transit. Direct & RS peering welcome.
IP addresses within our autonomous system may conduct automated network scans. All scanning activity originates exclusively from IPv4 and IPv6 address space registered under AS13362 and is performed for research and security purposes only. We do not exploit vulnerabilities or store sensitive data encountered during scans.
Collected data is used to improve GRIP our Geolocation Service operated by General Health, Inc.
If you operate a network and wish to have your IP ranges excluded from our scanner, please contact us using the email template below. Please email us from a email address or domain associated with your network WHOIS data to ensure ownership and authenticity. Include your IP range(s) in CIDR notation so we can process your request as quickly as possible.
We honor all opt-out requests promptly, and will confirm when the exclusion list is updated.
